Do you think that the 8 string harp is God’s favorite musical instrument and evil spirit’s least favorite?

Little Angel asked:

My dad says that it is b/c most of the psalms are for harps and also King Saul’s demon was made to go away by David’s harp playing and so I am wondering why more churches don’t play harps. Any info on why this is would be really neat b/c I don’t know how to play harp but if it helps answers my prayers maybe I should learn. thank you
actually it says king saul’s evil spirit went away (not demon)

I dont think it will help answer your prayers. It’s what is in your heart that matters to God. Always remember that.
but I think the reason its used in the psalms is because its pretty and relaxing, i guess. also they did not have very many instruments back then. And David played the harp, so I guess it would be logical for him to write his songs using it.
It would be cool if more churches played harp though, you dont hear it very often.

Actually He loves the 10 stringed Lyre along with the harp and I wish I had the talent to play either because I would definitely play them both in Church. My little cousin in europe is learning to play the harp and I could only imagine how beautiful the sound of that melody is in a world where ancient musical instruments are not prized as current masterpieces. Maybee in the future more people will learn to appreciate the beauty in these instruments for worship and praise! God bless all
