Which guitar isn’t a crappy one?
rab asked:
Hello! I want to start guitar, and I need to buy one off Amazon. I ve heard they have a FEW really good ones. But, I’m only a beginner, so if I attatch links, is it possible for someone to tell me which one is the best for its price and name and quality, for me? Thanks!
ps. I’m left-handed, so I don’t know if I should get a leftie or a rightie guitar. I’ve also played violin for seven years so I’m hoping the string instrument knowledge will give me some former ground. ![]()

well, definately don’t get the first one. a guitar needs a brand name, Green is a color, that doesn’t cut it.
i’d pick the yamaha out of those three, but if your looking for a nice cheap acoustic get an Epiphone
You get what you pay for. I would not advise getting any of these guitars.
You need to go to a guitar store and find a guitar that feels good in your hands. Then go hunt for the best price on that guitar via the internet.
But if you just want to get started and you really don’t care about your guitar having long-lasting worth to you, then go ahead and buy a cheapo. I just fear it would damage your initial experience.
Well if you are looking for a good acoustic guitar go with a yamaha. If you are are looking to start on electric(which i recommend) go with the fender squire affinity strat pack. It comes with an amp, picks, cables, the guitar, and everything else you might need to get starting. It also really depends what kind of music you want to play.
I mean don’t expect to pick up the guitar and just be able to play a crazy guitar solo immediately, it takes time. At this point none of the starter guitars will have a perfect sound for what you want to play. If you want to start out playing modern stuff, or some of the older rock go with electric.
None of those guitars is worth buying. First of all, don’t buy a classical guitar unless you’re interested in classical music. A steel string acoustic is much more versatile. Expect to pay the best part of $200 for a guitar good enough to not hold you back.
Most important, in spite of what you said I would recommend going to a good music store with a large selection. Never buy a guitar from a big box store or over the internet. You need to hear it and hold it first to make sure it’s right for you. Plus if it needs any adjustments the store will do it for you.
