    Yes, if you have played certain instruments that connect with the string bass. Most people don’t have a hard time playing the string bass. Good luck.

    If you’ve played fretted instruments, you should be able to tackle the upright bass. The fingering is a little awkward at first, since there’s so much more space to move around and no frets to use as guides. But a little noodling is all it takes to connect your fingering to the tone you want to play. And the bass cleff is a cinch if you can already read music. Very cool instrument choice! Good luck!
