Does anyone know how to make a working guitar out of scratch?
Tran B asked:
For our physics project, we have to make a musical instrument and I decided to make a guitar. We need to use guitar strings, and materials that are commonly found in a house.
Does anyone know how to make a sound hole for the guitar?
And does anyone know any ideas to make the shape of guitar?
Thanks!

This would be the simplest way to make one, but it’s mainy for little kids.
GUITAR
empty shoe box
rubber bands
ruler or stick
Remove the cover from the box. Stretch the rubber bands around the box. Attach the ruler or stick to the back of the box on one end to act as the arm of the guitar.
To play, strum or pluck the rubber bands.
If you have the money and the craftsmanship:
you can pull up a floor board to make the neck…go to the kitchen and take down 2 cupboard doors!…use one to make the base… and cut the neck slot out of the other one…then glue both bits together…then find a picture of a guitar in a mail order catalogue…cut it out and place it on a piece of stripped wallpaper which has 1″ square grid marked on it….then with another piece of wall paper marked out in 3″ grids…copy the shape freehand…then trace it on to the prepared door base…and cut it out…Hmmm…perhaps its easier to place a broom handle into a tea chest and tie a piece of string on it?…this will make a Bass guitar?…that will go with Perez’s model above?…
